NEAR Protocol has entered 2025 with remarkable progress, reinforcing its role as a leading innovator at the crossroads of blockchain, AI, and cross-chain interoperability. The ecosystem has matured into a hub of technical innovation, community-driven growth, and global collaborations. From AI agents to chain abstraction, NEAR’s story this year is about real-world adoption and user-first design.

Artificial Intelligence has become the heartbeat of NEAR in 2025. The protocol has been steadily building toward a world where individuals can own and control AI, and this vision is now taking shape. The launch of the AI Agent Fund reflects NEAR’s commitment to investing in innovative agent tokens and fostering an ecosystem where AI is democratized.

Partnerships have amplified this momentum: KyberSwap integrated intents to give users easy access to assets like BTC, DOGE, USDC, and USDT, while Infinex leveraged NEAR’s infrastructure to expand into Bitcoin, DOGE, and XRP markets.

NEAR’s collaboration with Aptos and Shelby decentralized storage further broadened the scope of intents, extending beyond token swaps to cover storage and multi-chain interoperability. Meta Pool: The Liquid Staking & Governance Backbone of NEAR

As NEAR’s main liquid staking protocol, it helps balance security, liquidity, and governance. With Meta Pool, NEAR holders can stake their tokens and receive stNEAR, keeping liquidity available while still earning rewards.
